i bought this book for a third grader. i wanted to preview the book before giving it to the student. upon reading the first two chapters, there were many words and phrases that i though were bad for a young child to read.
Example: "i wanted to cuss him"... "darn it"..."jerk"

I would not recommend this book for young readers.
